For the people who are complaining about how dull and boring these dramas are, people have different preferences. You say you like action packed, well good for you. Some people like these chinese period dramas so good for them. And there’s about 4398598 different genres out there for you to pick. If you find this drama so dull and boring, go post elsewhere.

Old and ancient drama like this is very boring, usually I will choose to delete drama like this. Come on…we are living in year 2012 already, every drama should be modern and exciting plus some action packed will be cool. Well 200% I will not watch this stupid and boring and dull drama and so goodbye forever…..

I agree that it has less of those exciting scenes , but it is definitely more dramatic than idol dramas. Well , idol dramas seldom have those revenge , marriage or crying scenes and some ppl just love those tragic scenes.
